Hontiveros: Opposition Senate slate out soon
The opposition coalition will soon announce its senatorial line-up for the 2019 elections, Senator Risa Hontiveros said Sunday.
The coalition is made up of the Liberal Party, the Magdalo party-list, civil society group
Tindig Pilipinas, and Hontiveros’ Akbayan party-list, she said.
“In the next several days, we will be, as an opposition coalition, launching our opposition
Senate slate for next year,” Hontiveros told ANC.
The LP has embraced Senator Bam Aquino, human rights attorney Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno,
and previous Deputy House Speaker Lorenzo “Erin” Tañada II for one year from now’s decisions.
Tindig Pilipinas likewise sponsored the senatorial offers of trio, and also Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano and previous Bangsamoro Transition Council part Samira Gutoc.
