Nancy Binay looks for re-election
SENATOR Nancy Binay is seeking reelection as she filed Friday, October 12,
her certificate of candidacy (COC) for the 2019 midterm polls.
In an interview at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office, Binay, who seen
as an “accidental candidate” six years ago, said she has already proven herself to worthy of an elected senator in the 2013 polls.
“I feel that my record as a member of the Senate will speak for itself (if I deserve it),” she said.
To recall, Binay was a surprise candidate mainly due to her lack of political experience, except her
a long-time personal assistant of her father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay.
She said her gathering, the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), presently can’t seem to settle on which party they will frame an alliance with: Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino of Senator Sonny Angara or the Nationalist People’s Coalition of Senate President Tito Sotto.
