Palabay impacts Duterte: Your administration is a total failure!
The negative effects of President Rodrigo Duterte’s policies far outweigh the positive ones, militant
groups said Sunday, a day before the chief executive’s 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Lawyer Cristina Palabay, secretary general of the group Karapatan, said since Duterte assumed office,
the human rights situations in the country has only worsened.
“In many aspects, the current situation, both at the political and economic levels, this administration is
a total failure,” she told ANC, citing the drug war killings and the “anti-tambay policy.”
“It’s a ‘5’ in a college evaluating framework – it’s ‘bagsak’ (fizzled),” she included, regretting the human
rights circumstance that is “spiraling towards a more perilous circumstance” under Duterte.
In the mean time, legal advisor Aaron Perdrosa of the gathering Sanlakas refered to the expense change law
as one of Duterte’s strategies that have harmed poor people and caused snappier swelling.
“Has the Duterte government ensured there’s dependably nourishment on the plate, that you have general
occupations, that you have conventional wages, that you have a job, that you have a home? He bombed in such manner,” Pedrosa included.
Palabay and Pedrosa trust Duterte won’t address these disappointments in his discourse so their gatherings and different associations will talk about these issues at the United People’s SONA outside Congress.
Resistance bunches have consented to hold their challenge far from the Batasan Pambansa on Monday, when Duterte conveys his third SONA, police said.
Duterte’s assistant has discounted a gathering with dissidents after his SONA this year.
