At the age of 39, many say that Manny Pacquiao’s skill is over the canvas.
But, Pacquiao seems to be ready again to prove to his critics that he still has the strength and agility he has made in boxing in recent years.
In an interview after his practice on Tuesday at the Wild Card Gym, the National Fame revealed that he now felt the body and strength he had when he was only 27 years old.
“It’s okay, my body, I feel like 27, 28-years-old, I feel strong,” Pacquiao said.
Pacquiao’s career began in boxing when he defeated Hector Velasquez of Mexico, before Erik Morales knelt in 2006. He was 27 years old at the time.
It was also the start of Pacquiao’s 15-match winning streak in the sport that further enhanced his life as a boxer.
According to Pacman, he has taken his own body and strength for the fight against Lucas Matthysse on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are just doing it now to practice. It simply fixes his timing on counterpunches, head movements, and footwork.
. I’m perfect for the counterpunch
“My mindset to the fight is to focus, to throw a lot of punches, head movements, side by side footwork. I’m perfect for the counterpunch,” Pacquiao said.
She said her body strengthening adjustments made in her training such as longer relaxation after heavy exercise days such as sparring sessions.
According to Pacquiao, his camp knew he was no longer as young as he was, and the recovery period of his body was slower.
“We need to balance. Sometimes, when you push yourself too hard in work, we’re on track. It’s not immediately recovering,” Pacquiao’s story. “When I train hard today and tomorrow my tired body so tire, I’m really resting. Better to rest than to push.”
The so-call “Fighting Senator” has also deny his preparations for the fight because issues arose last week claiming that the fight could not resolve.
In reports and interviews at Matthysse’s camp, MP Promotions has not yet reached that Pacman holds the debts incurred.
“I was not distracted there, what I did was focused on my training, and I said [the team] just focus and continue.” Do not mind it, we are on the right track, “Pacquiao said. “The fight is always on from the beginning.”
