Ilocos Gov. Imee Marcos on Friday said the Supreme Court’s decision affirming
the dismissal of the civil suit filed against her family and their alleged cronies was welcome.
“Of course, I am happy but actually that has been dismiss already in 2010 by the
Sandiganbayan,” he told reporters here.
Imee said the decision took 31 years but she was elate about it.
Early this week, the Supreme Court has avowed the rejection of a common suit
guaranteeing P51 billion in harms against the bequest of previous President Ferdinand
Marcos and his comrades.
The claim was record by the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG)
“for reconveyance, inversion, compensation and harms.”
In any case, the SC maintained the counter join court’s choice to expel the case in light of
the fact that the PCGG had neglected to help its case with confirm.
