Following 10 months of being free to move around at will, Ozamiz City Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog has been captured by authorities in Taiwan, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.
PNP representative Chief Supt. John Bulalacao affirmed to journalists the capture of Parojinog, the younger sibling of killed Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. He was being chased down for his claimed inclusion in the illicit medications exchange and also other unlawful exercises.
Bulalacao said councilor Parojinog endeavored to enter Taiwan utilizing unlawful migration archives. His capture came five days after the police attacked his office and inn in Ozamiz City, where a store of powerful guns and illegal drugs were recouped.
On Tuesday, a known Parojinog attorney, previous Ozamiz City prosecutor Geronimo Marave Jr., was killed.
In September a year ago, President Rodrigo Duterte offered a P5-million abundance for the capture of the city councilor, who has been secluded from everything since the raid that slaughtered Mayor Parojinog, his wife Susan, and 14 others.
The activity brought about the capture of Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez, and her sibling, Reynaldo Jr.
