President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will not overlooked the disclosed pompous Christmas party of the officials of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
It was specifically stated by Malacañang after PCSO Board Member Sandra Cam disclosed that the charity agency spent P10 Million for their Christmas party which was held in a very expensive hotel in Mandaluyong City.
According to Presidential spokesman Harry Roque, the policy of the president is very clear that he will not tolerate the overspending the peoples’ funds for some ostentatious celebrations.
“Let’s just say that with or without an order, the President takes heed,” Roque said.
Meanwhile, Duterte will not tolerate any extravagance during his term for he is very sensitive to what is reported by his own people in different branches of the government.
On the other hand, the PCSO defended against the allegations of PCSO Board Member Sandra Cam.
PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan said, they only allotted P6 Million funds for the said occasion. It cannot be tagged as expensive because it was spent for the 1,500 employees of the PCSO all over the country.
Balutan also reiterated that included in the said costing was the bonuses given to their staff who did not get any after the congress cut some of their funds.
