President Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently visited Eastern Visayas particularly in Bilaran and other areas hardly damaged by typhoon “Urduja.”
Duterte said he will improve the response of the government regarding its efforts in giving relief goods.
” I would like to see what my government can do better than what these guys doing now specially helping poor people,” he said.
Pres. Spokesperson Harry Roque said, they will continue monitoring the vital signs of the typhoon even during this Holiday Season.
“We always look the vital signs of typhoon so that we can easily monitor the disasters or calamities this Holiday Season,” Roque said.
Roque said DSWD prepared relief goods containing food and no-food items worth P393 million for almost 368,000 families.
“What we really want to impress people is not to worry for the government would help them,” he added.
As of this writing , Local Development Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC) reported that the death toll in Biliran is now in 31.
