“Parang tape recorder, next election, patutugtugin mo lang, ganun na yan, at alam mo sa sarili mo na kaya mong panindigan yan,” the feisty president said.
“Sabi ko sa kanya one time…kami lang dalawa nag-usap, gusto kita gawing presidente (I told him while we were alone, I want you to become president),” Duterte said. “Alam mo kaya mo,” he added.
Duterte said the determination Pacquiao shown in his life are the necessary factors that can won him the seat of presidency.
“You have brought so much pride and joy to our country for being the world champion in the field of boxing,” Duterte jested.
Meanwhile, Manny wanted his life to be an inspiration specially to the poor that they must conquer every trial that would come unto their lives.
“I want to be an inspiration to everyone, especially the poor. Huwag kayong susuko sa buhay. Huwag mawalan ng pag-asa at (huwag) ma-discourage because God has plan for you,” Pacquiao said.
