Philippine Navy will send its newest and biggest ships to the victims of the Tropical Depression Urduja in Eastern Visayas.
The Landing Dock and the Landing Craft Heavy will be used to lift equipment, goods, and other personnel to assist in the typhoon’s relief operations.
“Vice Adm. Ronald Joseph Mercado directed Naval Forces Central in Mactan to head the humanitarian assistance and disaster missions in all affected areas,” Navy said.
Mercado also extend his sympathy to the people who are affected and those who died from the said typhoon.
Meanwhile,Mercado encouraged civic groups and other local official to participate in helping the victims of Bagyong Urduja.
