‘NPA attacks’ on 49th CPP Anniversary- AFP

Army Soldiers were preparing for the possible attacks of the New People’s Army (NPA) on its 49th Anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) this coming Dec. 26.

CPP was founded in a remote village of Alaminos City in Pangasinan on Dec. 26 1968.

The two NPA who attended the Pangasinan peace and order council meeting was found in Caraballo mountains starting to Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, and Vizcaya.

Lt. Col. George Bergonia of the Army’s 84th Infantry Battalion based in San Jose City in Nueva Ecija said, ” One of the NPA who operates in Pangasian and its members have been sighted in the remote villages of the towns of San Quintin, Umingan, San Nicolas, and Natividad.”

Bergonia added some rebels were disbanded dueto its changing outfit as civilian including their leader Joel Managas as alias “Ka Razul” who died on Sept. 20 at Carranglan town in Nueva Ecija in an encounter.

Meanwhile, due to the death of their leader NPA terrorists has been reduce specially in Eastern Pangasinan.
