The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) assured that the affected families from the Marawi City mainly children will give focus on their financial needed.
Beneficiaries of the government transfer cash program to the people for they don’t have to worry about failing to fulfill on what the needs of their children sending to school or going to barangay health centers or local clinics.
We have suspended the functionalities that will allow them to receive funds even if they are not attending school or not going to health clinics, or not even attending the family development sessions,”
According to Emmanuel Leyco of the agency officer in charge said that the DSWD has suspended the conditions of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) for the Marawi City.
A total of 12,000 households have been enrolled in 4’s as DSWD record stated.
“We’d like to make sure that the funds are delivered to them,” Leyco said.
Governments still exerting efforts to those families who wanted to enroll in the 4’s.
At least 18,478 families of a total of 92,390 people have returned to Marawi as of Dec. 11.
“The DSWD will focus on the recovery and re-establishment of human infrastructure in the communities where the [internally displaced persons] operate,” Leyco added.
Meanwhile, the DSWD opened an operation center programs in the City as responsive requirements to the displaced residents.
