Benigno S. Aquino III is back at the Senate Hearing as a resource speaker in the ongoing probe of the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia which has been injected at least 733,713 children nine years old and above in MetroManila.
Mr. Aquino was among invited by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee conducting an investigation.
Aquino and some of his Cabinet members were blamed for allowing the implementation of the Anti-dengue immunization program using the Dengvaxia with a cost of P3.5 Billion pesos.
It has been implemented by the former Health Secretary Janette Garin which started in 2016 and continued by the present Duterte Administration.
Former Pres. Aquino said in his text message that ““We want to participate in telling the truth to the people as we have always done; at the same time, observing compliance to various laws, rules, and traditions.”
Meanwhile, 10 percent of children who had no prior dengue infection were at risk the worse symptoms of dengue or a total of 70,000 people.
