Duterte’s latest ‘iDOLE card’ for OFW’s full of criticism

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte referred the newly OFW “iDOLE card” as the ‘best gift’ to millions of Overseas Filipino Workers made by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) were widely anticipated. But upon on its initial release netizens aired both criticisms and admiration of it.

Presidential Communication Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson featured her Facebook Blog with Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III were he hold the latest iDOLE ID for the OFW’s with the water mark face of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

“This is only the first phase of implementation and will cater first to our Balik-Manggagawa until the system is ready for all OFWs,” Mr Bello said.

The service is free to all OFW’s they must input first their Overseas Employment Certificate number as a requirement.

Ms. Uson’s post went viral after netizens mixed reactions regarding the inclusion of Pres. Duterte’s face in the government-issued ID.

One netizen wish to have all the OFW with the iDOLE card, named Binites Alvin ” I hope Mocha all OFW will have that thank you.”

On the other hand some netizens point out that President Duterte’s picture is an “Epal” or shameless self promotion move, were surely Duterte would not approve it of.

As of now the Department website is being updated to its newly iDOLE card according to Ms. Mocha Uson.
