President Rodrigo Roa Duterte decide to formally end peace talks with the (CPP) Communist Party of the Philippines as a “cooling off” period.
On Nov. 24 Duterte announced to end peace talks between the CPP and government as he sign another proclamation which includes that the CPP and the NPA were know as terrorist organization in Philippines.
“Let’s give time for cooling off with the rebels pahinga muna tayo… nagkalabuan lang (Let’s take some time to rest while things are still unclear… we just had a disagreement),”Duterte said.
He said rebels must stop their revolutionary taxes businesses for if they would continue, the country will never enjoy peace in Mindanao.
“Let us raise it (negotiation) to the level of walang atake (no attacks).
Meanwhile Duterte also chase peace talks with Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front(MILF).
